WORKING FIELDS

In order to fulfill its mission, the CLAC is working according to the following working fields:

•  Strengthening of the National Networks as well as the Product Networks.

•  Promotion of the interests and views of small producers inside and outside the Fair Trade systems.

•  Development of standards and adequate certification systems for small producers.

•  Building alliances between small producers and consumers inside and outside the region.

•  Promotion of local and international Fair Trade markets.

•  Collective participation in product fairs and international conferences.

•  Promotion of the Small Fair Trade Producers Logo to identify Organizations of Small Fair Trade producers.

•  Consolidation of communications and secretarial structure.

•  Building an operative structure capable of supporting the exercise and tracing of working projects.

In the present there is a close relationship with AFN, the African Fair Trade Network. Also, there is a process of strengthening relationships with Asian small producer organizations.
