The highest authority in CLAC is its General Assembly. It is formed by approximately 100 delegates from the organizations of small Fair Trade producers of the different countries or sub regions that belong to the Latin American and Caribbean Fair Trade system. The General Assembly is celebrated every two years. The very first one, where CLAC emerged as a legal entity, took place in the city of Oaxaca, México during the 11, 12 y 13 of August 2004. The Second General Assembly will take place near the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, on the 26 through the 28 of October 2006.
